Therapy helps.  Therapy, with a qualified therapist using research-based techniques, has proven to be an effective treatment for individuals and families struggling with a variety of mental health issues.

The most difficult decision for many is to make the first call and to commit to a working relationship with a therapist that you or your family feel comfortable with.  

I am available to meet with interested clients for a 30 minute, no obligation, confidential evaluation session: an opportunity for you to evaluate me and determine if my practice is a good fit for your needs, and an opportunity for me to suggest what treatment might look like if we are to work together.  

You and me.  Just as it sounds, talking about the issues you are concerned with and developing strategies to cope and make changes. A typical session lasts about 50 minutes and depending on the nature of the issues can occur as frequently as three times a week or as seldom as once per month.

I have many years of experience working with diverse populations and have specialized in working with children, adolescents and their families.  My experience includes the treatment of depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, attention-deficit disorder, relationship counseling and family management issues.

Relationship counseling can have a lot of variation: established couples that are working to improve their communication and satisfaction in the relationship, dating couples hoping to deepen their relationship or divorced parents hoping to work collaboratively to co-parent their children.

Family counseling is helpful when dealing with transitions or other stressful events within the family, establishing better communication to address behavioral concerns or other family management issues.

Depending on the issues involved, sessions can include multiple family members and typically last 50 minutes.
